This company treats it's employees as a means to an end. There is no investment in the employee to help them grow and get better at their jobs. They often say things like "If you don't like it here there are a dozen others waiting to take your place". The salaries are well below industry standard. They promote a "blame culture" and you are always looking over your shoulder wondering when you are going to get stabbed in the back. Nepotism runs rampant in this company. The owner employs family and friends in positions well beyond their skills and capabilities. The buildings and work environments break numerous OH&S codes. Safety is paid lip service to and speaking up about any violations could cost you your job. The owner smokes in his office and subjugates his staff to constant second hand smoke. The benefits package is meager. They only look for people that are "yes men/women" that don't buck the system. Avmax is the "pick your part" of the aviation industry. Stay away from this company or sacrifice part of your soul to work there.

Wages a little below average for Calgary. Vacation time maxes out at 4 weeks for 10 years of service.
