    Pros

Great on the job experience. Gain first hand experience that most interns can not imagine. The training program in North Carolina is extensive but a lot of fun.

    Cons

In order to do well and make money you have to be willing to work a ton. Days are very long and they expect you to always be willing to work overtime.

    Pros

excellent experience. When I am job hunting, I am able to talk about actual experience. Networking is a must for this, so you end up setting yourself up.

    Cons

the training is long, but in a fun town. What they don't tell you is that the product that you sell sucks. The upper management lies occasionally so you have to be on your toes. There is no work life balance and if you are a team leader stuck with a terrible team, it is up to you to deal with it.

    Advice to Management

You've got the selling down, now it's time to find a good product to sell.

    Pros

Looks good on a resume, opens doors via career partners

    Cons

    Terrible management system, terrible product

    Advice to Management

You can't expect 21 year olds to be hold themselves accountable when being managed from states away with very little overview

    Pros

Teaches independent work ethics. Gives you self confidence in networking abilities. Training is awesome, with an exiting environment that really inspires you. My manager was always available to talk and give me feedback. Forces you to be resourceful.

    Cons

The product is not incredibly easy to sell because companies are looking for a pay-per-click form of advertisement, which they did not have when I was there. Can be a little overwhelming, you need to learn to be self motivated through the entire day. Driving costs can go over base pay, so you might want to consider walking or biking.

    Advice to Management

Keep having that upbeat spirit and incredible availability! I really liked that as an intern I was able to talk to the CEO and give him some input.

I worked at AroundCampus (Less than a year)

    Pros

Incredible learning and engagement experience with business to business sales and becoming comfortable with closing a sale. Enhances leadership abilities, work ethic, organizational and communication skills.

    Cons

It is hard work and although it is great experience there is little pay. It is hardly enough to cover the amount of gas you will use depending on where you are selling.

    Advice to Management

    Work on home office support.

    Pros

Week long Training in NC was awesome. Regional Managers aren't always around. Great experience talking to business owners and it feels awesome when you make sales. If you give this a internship a good effort and are comfortable talking to strangers in a professional manner you will do great. Be personable, be outgoing and you wont regret it.

    Cons

It can be discouraging to get rejected a lot. It can feel like you don't want to keep working but it is better than working in an office copying papers. You have the freedom to go where you want, pitch what you want and be as good as you want at this internship.

    Advice to Management

Put a front cover blurb that says Coupons Inside! Incorporate a ride sharing part of the app similar to UBER. It was a great summer!

    Pros

    - Awesome training week at the University of North Carolina. (Be prepared to get to know a sales script) - Work 8:30 to 5:30ish Monday through Friday. Weekends off. - Get what you put into it. Getting to know the business owners can really make the difference between a good summer and a poor one. - Can get job offers from business partners after completion of the internship. - Region had a group paintball session at one of the sales from the summer.

    Cons

    - Lot of driving. - Can get frustrating during lulls in sales. - Gets difficult at the end of the summer to find places you have not talked to yet. - Get paid on commission.

    Advice to Management

Be more positive in the critiques. When a sales call does not go the way you had intended give feedback that will help instead of hurting the psyche of the sales reps even more. Try to break up the monotony of each week with more activities. Alive After 5 felt more like working overtime than it did having a "fun" night on the town.
