    Negative Outlook

I worked at Aritzia full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good health benefits as a full time employee, clothing discounts, you’ll have a better sense of style, you might meet a few great people, and a decent retail salary if you know what you’re doing

    Cons

This job is not made for someone who doesn’t have thick skin, toxic environment, people are insensitive, the company has 0 respect for work life balance and will work you to the bone if they could. There is a lot of favouritism and what they care about most is money. If you can’t make them money don’t think they’ll give you hours and if you make them a lot say goodbye to everything else. Also forget about growth, you’ll grow old before ever making something out of yourself here.

I have been working at Aritzia part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Let you take days off when needed, if booked well enough in advance. Decent pay, although less than other warehouses.

    Cons

They treat their employees as replaceable. Especially part-timers who are juggling school, volunteering, and multiple other things while NEEDING to work so they can have some money... but the supervisors and management treat them as if they are not needed and easily replaceable. I just think that makes it such a toxic environment to work in. All the people who have worked here for a long time have a superiority complex and think they are better than newer employees or seasonals which is why their employee turn over is so high and most seasonals and part timers end up leaving. I don't feel valued at this job and I have been working here for almost 2 years.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Aritzia part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Discount was good, but we needed permission to shop. I was never able to use my discount because my managers always told me I couldn’t shop, and when I went to the other Aritzia stores they also claimed they were too busy to allow employees to shop around as it is “too distracting”

    Cons

-Employees are immature, they all think they are “models” and expect new employees to bow down them -Managers don’t know how to train -Favouritism, I noticed they gave better treatment to one white boutique associate, and allowed her to work on the floor at all times. They made all the other Asian/Non-White boutique associates steam clothes in the back -hours are awful -racially profiling customers and following them around in the store
