Good entry level job for someone who wants to work more than 40+ hrs a week. High turnover due to lack of compensation.

      Pros

Work from a home office and lots of training and support. Well recognized name in the industry and company covers all work related costs of doing business.

      Cons

Company policy dictates time management regardless of performance. You always have to see a set amount of contacts daily. No time is given for office days regardless on how busy you are. Management does not know local markets and territory managers are constantly bombared with customer service issues. This takes time away from actual selling of items but it is needed to ensure customers keep their business with the company. Very low commission for the amount of work needed for each sale. THIS JOB IS +52 hrs a week if you want to become successful and get higher commision. Reporting overload. You must be prepared to get micro-managed heavily as management requires daily, weekly and annual reporting on contacts that you meet on a daily basis, projects that are down the pipeline and successes that you acheive on a weekly basis.

      Not The Same as Before

      Pros

Various perks that aid in time management such as, dry cleaning, lunches, exercise programs. Promotion from within are at a higher rate than other organizations that I’m familiar with.

      Cons

COVID 19 pandemic that put AHR on a collision course that ultimately lead into bankruptcy and takeover by another organization should have had a plan for succession earlier. Senior management is more concerned with their point system for discipline and sending of daily email threats to individuals who are 5 minutes late from break or lunch. However, there are no thank you emails to staff that stay an hour after shift ends to tie up loose ends. Senior Managers need to address the Ambiguously-Defined Employee Roles with the lack of clear, precise roles and responsibilities for employees to follow. Lack of transparency from Managers have created a communication silo without regard to the people who they should represent band support. Lack of support and training programs for new AND veteran employees that could aid in cross training, job advancement and promotions that could save an organization a lot of money that goes to the hiring process because of the high turnover rate.

      Pros

Colleagues are wonderful and very good people. Family owned with high expectations and values appropriate for today’s work force

      Cons

What was once a strength is now their biggest problem which consistency of goals and expectations. COVID left us with no way to survive. Waited far too to implement changes. HR should have been more proactive and willing to listen for options behind issuing a massive furlough program that began on the same day that year end bonuses for Senior Management were issued. Transparency became a problem. Mixed messages were given, some managers who made it a point to guy buy in from staff with regard to temporary furloughs and pay reductions were the first to leave the Company, nothing builds transparency like talking out of both sides of their mouth. VERY DISAPPOINTED !
