I worked at Altis Recruitment for less than a year

    Pros

Good for people who urgently need money.

    Cons

Altis HR is the worst recruitment agencies I was with. Their job postings seem ideal for your qualifications, but you never even get a chance to get an interview. When they call you with some position it is mostly for very low-level jobs, which are well below your qualifications.

I have been working at Altis Recruitment for more than 8 years

    Pros

I have been involved with Altis Professional in Ottawa for the past 10 years and have been extremely pleased with their assistance in finding work assignments with a range of government clients and in being compensated at a fair value and in an expeditious manner. Their Account Executives have been very professional and helpful.

    Cons

I cannot find any negative issues from my interactions with Altis.

I have been working at Altis Recruitment

    Pros

    No positive experience with Altis

    Cons

Work with Altis on a short term assignment. I have a disability and there was an incident at work which forced me to take days off. I was then laid off days later - which is a Human Rights Violations. The act states that everyone has to be treated equally and with respect free from discrimination.

    I worked at Altis Recruitment

    Pros

I worked with Altis Professional for two and a half years and had a great experience there. The employees get along well and the company promotes an inclusive environment. Working with Altis Professional was a tremendous learning experience. They provide extensive training and there is always someone available and happy to answer questions. It was also a great place to learn the value of work ethic.

    Cons

There aren't really any cons about working with Altis.

I worked at Altis Recruitment for more than 5 years

    Pros

Having worked numerous contracts through Altis over the last 8 years, I fully endorse them as the go-to agency if you are looking for placements. Since day one, I have been always treated like family. I have formed a lasting and trusting relationship with my contacts there and have found them to be prompt, friendly and thorough in my dealings with them. Taking the time to get to know me and my preferred type and style of work, they kept in touch when new opportunities arose that they felt I would be a good candidate for. In that span I have worked for other agencies, but was always happy to return to Altis for the service they provided me, and in most cases, getting me the highest wage I could find.

    Cons

Do to the structure of the industry that Altis operates in, the only cons are unpaid vacation and no benefits.

I worked at Altis Recruitment full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some of the girls you work with will become your friends for the rest of your life. Because how can you NOT bond over experiencing the definition of business practices going terribly terribly wrong.

    Cons

DO NOT WORK HERE. -no internet access -they will time you to the minute of when you log into your computer in the morning and when you log out at the end of the day -lunch breaks are only from 12-1 (TO THE MINUTE) -Want to go have lunch with a friend and not a co-worker in the lunch room? be prepared for the third degree on why you aren't joining the CULT -Commission is supposed to be a "paid for performance" model. Work at Altis if you want to work 12 hour days with the most demoralising commission structure. -NO BONUS - unless you want to compete against everyone in the company playing pre-school themed games during 3 months of the year and then be paid out in mall gift cards and forced to spend it all in one day. -This office environment is the definition of the management divide. Senior management (all the way up to CEO) are the most passive aggressive women I have ever met. WOW could they ever twist your words to make you feel humiliated, stupid, and not important. Overall this company is a JOKE. Commission structure really just pays the company and not you. There is a reason why there are only 3-4 assocaites that have stayed past 5 years! There is a reason why they only higher new grads who don't know any better! There is a reason why they don't encourage you to speak in private! There is a reason why there is no career path! - nobody stays long enough for there to be a need for progression
