    Pros

Great nurses and unit clerks. Supports you in learning new Scope of practice on unit.

    Cons

Management was poorly chosen, not helpful. Jumps to conclusions and thinks negatively before benefit of the doubt Manager of unit takes sides. Manager was to friendly with certain nurses. i wish the Management would of been evaluated as much as nursing staff.

    Advice to Management

Dont take sides. be fair when a problem occurs. support nursing aids as much as the nurses. We are a valuable part of the nursing team. Let nursing aids to work to full scope of practice.

    Pros

    Job itself is pretty good.

    Cons

Difficult to advance. Current government freezes make it nearly impossible to promote anyone, leading to major equity issues and staffing problems.

    Advice to Management

Use your judgment, don't mindlessly follow directives (since they allow for some leeway) in cases that don't make sense.
