      Pros

Smart, helpful and talented colleagues, unlimited PTO, flexible hours, and good benefits. Lots of free food and drinks. Variety of company activities to keep employees engaged.

      Cons

Management is extremely short sighted. Decisions based on quarterly EBITDA levels. History of treating seasoned, decent people badly. This is not a software engineering business but more of an acquisitions company. Barely any improvements on the products. That said, it’s a good place to earn your stripes and gain experience. Modern workplace in the Domain.

      Pros

      - unlimited PTO (or so they say) - working with some genuinely bright people who were interested in mentoring me - easy commute

      Cons

      - laid off while on holidays without any prior notice - poor communication from direct management on the direction of my team - stack ranking is incredibly demotivating, unless I want to advance by driving other people crazy

So much potential, so many mistakes

      Pros

      - The unlimited PTO policy was a great addition. - Snacks and drinks provided, even beer! - Very flexible around individual schedules.

      Cons

      - Too many new/inexperienced people. - Too much high level reorganization. - Repetition of useless information (i.e. new hires, sales people training completion, etc.) - Belief in theories that do not translate well to "real-life" - Unable to find harmony between conflicting paradigms. - Confusing promotion process. - Too many executives with too little experience to manage the growth that they are planning. - Products with too many issues to be resolved. - Sales team not effective. - Poor handling of clients. - Focus on new hires education instead of trying to retain staff with knowledge.

VC - backed culture steamrolled by Fortune 500 acqusition and integration

      Pros

      * Good benefits - health, dental, vision, 401(K), unlimited PTO * Remote work is very acceptable * Good work life balance

      Cons

      * A Cohesive culture has largely dissipated with the frequent turnover of leadership at the VP, SVP and Executive level * Leadership, once very transparent, now keeps employees in the dark about much, including: if any efforts are being made to address department wide issues preventing us from being successful in our roles; why the recent vacancies are not being backfilled going on 6 months; what direction our department is headed in * Lack of proper on-boarding & training materials, we are NOT set up for success * Management is aware of serious problems that require us to do work for AR, Sales, Marketing, and Renewals but when approached on these topics, have no answer on how/if these issues are being addressed *Very vague career path, no trajectory for promotion under current model and leadership * underpaid by $15-$20K compared to industry averages * lack of shared purpose or exposure to other teams in a meaningful manner * Cross functional teams going up to the SVP level regularly play "hot potato" on work and issues that need resolution, leaving the customer to suffer and become frustrated * very few happy customers due to some product issues but mostly the hassle of dealing with Accruent * Accruent makes it difficult to do business with them * the hardest part about this job is navigating internal teams and processes in an effective and quick manner * very high attrition rate

      Pros

Flexible workplace. Unlimited PTO. Forward looking. Well funded. Strong pay structure. Experienced teams and resources.

      Cons

Disorganized accounting processes. Numerous approval layers/bureacracy. Unlimited PTO, though difficult to take time. Change can be slow, Fortive Business Processes slow to be fully adopted. Many leadership changes.

Okay for getting a foot in the door

      Pros

      - If you do good work, you will get respect no matter what your seniority is. - Work/life balance was pretty good. Unlimited PTO was very nice. - Very flexible with remote work. - A great place to learn. - New Fortive 9 values seems like an improvement to the old company values.

      Cons

      - The org structure is very dysfunctional for a software company. There's no CTO, and engineering and operations are two completely separate entities. The org chart connects the two departments at the President level. Not good at all, considering the company is generally focused more on sales. - Compensation is not at market value. - Turnover is high, largely due to the reason above. Good talent leaves quickly. - Fortive 9 culture is hardly noticeable in the workplace. It's been almost 1.5 years since the acquisition.
