    3Q is a phenomenal agency. Lot's of perks and you'll work with big name clients.

    Cons

    It's an agency. Definitely not for everyone!

    I worked at 3Q Digital full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Lots of fun workplace events, team outings, and other perks. Also, the training is phenomenal! You should definitely work here if you can, even if it is only for a short amount of time, you will learn SO much. However, be sure to have a backup plan and keep applying to other jobs.

    Despite the amazing training and fun workplace atmosphere 3Q fails to hold its managers accountable for their professionalism and employee development. Your success here entirely depends on your manager and whether they "like" you or not. You will not have opportunities to check in or meet with anyone above your manager so the only information higher-ups are receiving is from your manager, They hire in bulk and see who...

    Chain of command with check-ins needs to go beyond one's immediate manager. Conversations surrounding someone development and improvement need to be had with more than one person in the room. It is unprofessional how 3Q simply hires a ton of people and then weeds them out, find someone with the strong work ethic and core values and then invest the time to make them successful.     Pros

    Dedicated training team, really invest into your development transparent company direction, C level candid information smart, caring coworkers independent company great perks - unlimited PTO, give back to the community through dedicated company events like walks, volunteering at shelters, etc significant company growth trajectory

    at times client demands are burdensome, but no different than any other agency

    Gain experience on a diverse range of advertising platforms Flexible WFH policy Strong culture Lots of fun company outings and volunteer opportunities Very helpful benefits (phone, gym, etc) Fantastic people to work with

    Cons

    Working with fast-growing clients can at times be hectic and time consuming Working across multiple offices can be a challenge but strong communicators should not find an issue with this

    Advice to Management

    Continue to remain transparent and open with employees. Regularly address industry trends that could be a threat to the agency -- thinks like automation across Google and FB and how the 3Q plans to respond to put ourselves in a strong position.

    No understanding that expecting staff to work 50 hours or more a week to get work done is unreasonable and that if people are sick, give them time to recover and working from home while doing so doesn’t allow that. No data analytics team so some major accounts run on massive excel sheet reporting that requires time consuming manual data entry and manipulation where human error is inevitable given the work load and deadlines....

    Set service level agreements spelling out what is required from a client for new activity and how much notice is required. Teach those with responsibility for direct reports how to empathise and coach, rather than police and punish. Don’t let new hires miss training sessions because of client meetings.       There are a myriad of perks and benefits that undeniably standout. Free lunches, community oriented events and amazing training resources help to define all of the good things at 3Q. The bright and intelligent employees are perhaps the biggest draw to the agency. There are plenty of extremely capable individuals that help foster a positive learning environment.

      Cons

      Aside from issues with work/life balances that have been noted in the majority of reviews, communication and transparency are two of the biggest problems, especially for being key elements of the 3Q manifesto.       Lots of pros that I cant deny - they have a school subsidy program to help pay for a bit of your school loans (not much but better than nothing), biggest perk is food galore...awesome in office food snacks and catered lunches every week.
