Give it 3-7 days. If they are in a hurry to fill in the role you may get the result as quick as the same day or within 2 days. When I did mine I have to wait for 8 days to know that I will have to procced to the next round.

Recruiter at Amazon says a role must be in office 3x per week. I want to stay remote. Do I go forward with interviews to ask the hiring manager about remote? Or cancel interview based on insight from recruiter?

They originally wanted me to move to Seattle. I declined the offer and they countered with a remote position.

I don't know about Amazon specifically, but when I'm giving interviews, I only let it go over time if the candidate wants to (e.g. they're asking me questions etc), I have time, *and* I'm enjoying the conversation. That last criteria means for me it's a good sign, but I imagine it varies with the company and the interviewer.

Had 2 interviews with Amazon for Finance manager position in NY. HR reached out to do 3rd interview which is a “virtual onsite interview”. They mentioned it would be a whole day. Does anyone have experience with virtual onsite interviews? What’s the format and what should I expect? Amazon

They're probably going to go into a lot of technical questions. Unfortunately I don't have direct experience and all the sample questions I've seen online come from engineers and other tech focused people. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I just went through the virtual on-site interview last week for a SFA role but they are all the same. There will be 4-5 interviews with hiring manager, team members and/or teams you may work with. It will definitely take all day, each interview is usually 1 hour. I started at 9am and my last interview ended at 4pm. I only had 1 real break the whole day, which was a hour between my 2nd and 3rd interviewer. All the questions are behavioral questions and they should be based on 1 of the leadership principles. Each interviewer takes at least 2 principles and asks you questions in relation to it. I highly suggest having 2 strong examples for each leadership principle. It sounds like a lot but by my 5th interview I ran out of good examples and had to repeat an example. Repeating is not the end of the world but don’t do it more than 1 time, if you do it shows you don’t have depth or complexity in Amazons opinion. Holly Lee and Amazon Interview Whizz on YouTube are very helpful and give great tips for interviewing at Amazon. Good luck!

Check the amazon bowl, lots of chatter. Apparently there’s also a slack channel called #layoffs-discussion where people are posting anonymously

Just received a verbal (no salary discussed) offer from my recruiter at Amazon, and now have an “Offer Meeting” tomorrow. I’ve done some googles and have an inclination, but most mention I should have been provided an offer beforehand. Any insight is helpful.

I would start near the top of the range, your equity grant will be based on that TC and has a very strong probability of improving price by the time shares vest. The reason for large range at Amazon is that external (or top tier) typically cluster at higher end of band while internal promos cluster near middle. Onboarding grant typically the largest you’ll ever get. Almost 10yrs at big A from L6 to L8, go for it and congrats. Don’t worry the recruiter will back you down if you overreach 😉

Got an interview at Amazon, but it’s a hybrid role, part time in office. Are those hybrid roles strict? I’m not excited to work in an office or relocate. Not sure if I should decline the interview or proceed in hopes of remote. Thoughts?

It’s probably negotiable depending on the team. I work “hybrid” but rarely go to the office. There are some team members that moved to other locations that were listed as alternatives to HQ, and others that were given permission to work fully remote. Ultimately, it comes down to your Director and how the want to run their team, but I’ve found them to be flexible.

It’s up to the managers. All jobs are still technically tied to an office. I’ve never been asked to go to my office in 2 years, not a single time. Other managers might care more.

I will be completing my first year at Amazon next week so I will be having my first Forte (not scheduled yet). For what I’ve been reading, people are not too excited about this year’s compensation… what should I expect? Also, when is the Forte review usually done? TY

You know there are 5 rating bands? My guess is 0%, 0.5%, and 1% for the middle three bands. I assume they’ll fluff the RSUs. Forte conversations start Monday, March 13, 3023, and finish in a week.
