I have been working at Zscaler full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Zscaler is on a mission and everyone is fully invested in helping ensure both personal and professional success for all. It is such a treat to be able to wake up and be genuinely delighted to connect with everyone on video calls. There is never a shortage of people willing to jump in and help. Furthermore, everyone lives and demonstrates the corporate values - they aren't just pretty words plastered on our website. This is the first time I've ever worked for a company that truly believed in, and lived, the values. Awesome!

    Cons

Being in such a hyper-growth state, you need to adapt and adjust to change quite frequently.

    Advice to Management

Never let your 'people first' mentality slip away.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Zscaler (Burnaby, BC) in September 2019.

    Interview

First, online assessment, then a recruiter call. There was a video interview, and this is where I got rejected. The recruiting process was really fast, and a recruiter was friendly and responsive. A video interviewer was OK. He wasn't rude, but he kept getting distracted by something else during the interview and behaved at the end as if he would never see me again. The recruiter sent me a rejection email after two weeks. she might be on vacation or waited until they completed the video interview process, whatever. One thing that I cannot understand is the title of the position. They told me that I would work on automation scripts and test frameworks. It sounds like SDET rather than SDE. Make sure what you will be exactly doing.
