I worked at York University full-time
-You get to work with a lot of great people and form strong connections with your team and the students you work with
-Very rewarding job because of the impact you have on others and the skills you gain
-so many transferable skills
-you learn to handle conflict like a pro
-feels good to learn about inclusivity and how to embrace diversity within a community
-long and sometimes unpredictable hours. It's a lot of work but it is definitely worth it if this is the type of job/environment you enjoy.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at York University.
Got a call, was easy, I answered all the require questions and they were impressed. More importantly the boss was impressed. I told them that i know what I know and what I don't know I can find on google or take a course. Didn't try to bs my way through. It worked like charm
