    Pros

    1. Good Pay
    2. Well-Organized Resources and Knowledge Base
    3. Lays a great emphasis on ethics and etiquette
    4. All employees are dealt with in the same manner irrespective of hierarchy
    5. Limited room for office politics as things are pretty straight forward

    Cons

    1. Layoffs happen very frequently
    2. Employees need to up their game to stay relevant as the slightest bout of relaxation could cost them their job
    3. The management has the right intention of creating a culture that lays paramount importance on work ethic but they are not successful in communicating the same to the employees
    4. Employees tend to lose interest due to monotony
    5. Limited scope for growth due to a flat hierarchy

    Advice to Management

    1. Become more accessible and approachable as employees are unable to communicate their grievances due to their varied inhibitions.
    2. Create more scope for learning as there are a number of employees who are willing to learn and grow.
    3. Make the employees understand that layoffs can happen anytime as the mortgage industry itself is very uncertain.
    4. Tell the laid off employees that they can rejoin again once the business regains momentum. This will earn a lot of goodwill for the company as the employees will quit on a good note.

    Financial Analyst Interview

    Interview

I applied online for the position of a Financial Analyst. The first round comprised of a Maths Test. The questions were fairly easy. The second round was an English Test. Here we had to read a passage and then write an elaborate answer to the question given at the end of the passage. Those of us who cleared this round were elevated to the face-to-face interview round. I was one of the candidates selected for the interview round.
