The Wattpad platform in numbers
Our values are the shared principles that guide our team. They collectively determine how we interact with each other, how we behave at work, and how we approach challenges every day.
We make every decision by stepping into our user’s shoes
We do what’s best for the greater good
We make the most of every minute and every dollar
We help everyone belong
We push ourselves on how we think and how we act
We’re driven to lead the pack
We’re always building a foundation for tomorrow
Ready to help shape the future of social storytelling? Come work with us!
Working at Wattpad means being part of a unique work culture that’s centered around something we all believe in—using technology to find new ways to tell the world’s stories.
Through everything we do, we strive to create an environment that fosters transparency, inclusion, and collaboration.
There are no ivory towers or fancy corner offices here. Instead, we offer weekly all-hands meetings, access to our CEO’s private blog, and an open, available leadership team that works alongside everyone else. So you’ll always know where Wattpad is going and how your work is getting us there.
We also push ourselves to innovate. Each decision is driven by our desire to make the world better, and backed by data. And each team member is given access to Wattpad’s live numbers and revenue stats.
Oh, and did we mention we’re fun? We celebrate wins. And fails. We bring our dogs to the office (#Wattpups forever). We play our own version of Family Feud. Working at Wattpad means more boat cruise dance moves. More birthday and work anniversary cake and drinks.
Inclusivity. Not just a buzzword.
Diverse People. Diverse Stories.
Every day, in over 50 languages, our global community turns to Wattpad as a barrier-free outlet for self-expression on topics like LGBTQ+ identity, acceptance and body positivity.
Wattpad is creating a world where everyone’s story can be heard, and anyone can belong. As the engine behind the world’s largest social storytelling platform, our success has always been driven by our ability to embrace our differences and lift up marginalized voices. To us, diversity and inclusion aren’t corporate jargon—they’re core to who we are.
Not only are we working to build a team as diverse as our user base, we are actively working on trying to foster a safe environment and culture where marginalized groups can be their authentic self and have equal opportunity in their careers. We offer support, mentorship, and training to make sure the playing field is level for everyone. And we have an active Diversity & Inclusion committee, that continues to address the challenges marginalized people face in workplace.
While the work of being truly inclusive is never finished, we’re proud of the progress we’ve made—and we’re committed to promoting honest dialogue about diversity and inclusion in the startup community and beyond.
I worked at Wattpad full-time (More than a year)
-Management is very transparent
-Will learn a LOT
-Lots of structural /organizational changes? (not really a con)
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wattpad.
It was through an application through the job system at the University. I applied and was selected for an interview. We talked about the company for 30 minutes (what they do, how the teams work, etc). Then, he asked me if I had more questions, and then he jumped into his two questions.
