I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wahaca (Liverpool, England (UK)) in November-2015.
The interview was relatively quick, just a short chat about my background and what had led me to apply for the position followed by a brief outline of the company's history. The day after the interview, I got a call asking me to come in for a trial shift. This shift went well, worked with the team for about 4 hours and absolutely no problems. At the end of the shift, the manager told me she'd be in touch.
However, this was the last I heard from them. I even tried to call in to the restaurant and I was told that they'd get in touch with me but I heard nothing. Really really disappointed with the recruitment process as it seems they just offered me a trial shift to get some free labour. Great restaurant but very disappointing experience.
