I have been working at WAVE full-time (More than a year)
Too numerous to share in a small space. The people - by a long shot, some of the best you'll ever meet. Talented. Kind. The Office - Leslieville, heart of the action. Games room. Zen room. Amazing open concept. Free snacks, coffee. Lots of little, thoughtful perks.
It's very difficult to find a sandwich in the neighborhood for less than $15.
Advice to Management
Keep going - be humble, hungry and drive change through solid process, great tooling, and the best people around. You guys are just awesome.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at WAVE.
The interview process was pretty average. They tell you that you will be meeting about 5-7 people before you get there. So, you are prepared for a long interview. The first two individuals were very shy and awkward individuals. I felt like I had to put myself out here more to make them feel comfortable (which was weird for an interviewee). The last two interviewers were pretty awesome. They were both ex-teachers which you can tell from there demeanor. After the interview was over it seemed like an "ok" experience. They are very particular, it may seem as if you had a good interview but you don't know until they send you a very pathetic email that they have chosen a different candidate.
