Why Work For Us
We Like To Have Fun. We Work Hard
We look for results as opposed to what time you “punched in and out”. Our atmosphere is casual and informal, and filled with hard workers.
Startup Feel Without Startup Stress
We’re a rapidly growing company that’s well-funded, profitable and aggressively pursuing new markets. We have everything ahead of us.
We Do Good For The World
At Verdant, we take great pride in knowing that each day’s effort contributes to a more sustainable environment.
We Are Fast And Nimble
It’s not uncommon to solve an engineering challenge over a coffee with the CEO. Our structure is flat, and void of office politics.
I have been working at Verdant Environmental Technologies full-time (More than a year)
There are too many pros to list here, i will add the ones i feel most important:
One of the best R&D firms i worked with
Most people in the management are techies, the CEO is an engineer and the head of sales is also an engineer ( damn good ones too)
The culture is friendly, no finger pointing
work hours are very reasonable
Office location (which is set to change in December, I will update accordingly)
small team, might affect growth oppotunities.
Not really a con, but if you're compating Verdant to other potential firms, you'd find that it's not "sexy", they don't advertise themselves as we have the best XYZ or a super complicated interview process although in comparison it's at least twice as much innovative as other firms who make such claims.
Advice to Management
You're headed in the right direction, keep it that way.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verdant Environmental Technologies (Montreal, QC) in February 2019.
it was 30 minutes phone interview followed by a 1h conversation at the office. The interview was more of a conversation than a formal interview. The interviewer was very friendly, the questions that were asked were very open.
