I have been working at Upwork full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fantastic and experience team of dedicated and team-oriented members.

    Cons

Organization is very compartmentalized. Info not shared well across departments and teams, leading to duplication of efforts and needless 'reinventing the wheel', a waste of time and resources. Technology platform can be challenging/buggy, but is improving.

I applied online. I interviewed at Upwork.

    Interview

Recruiter contacted me and we had a great conversation about the possibility of 2 different positions she stated I would be a great candidate for. She said she was going to set up the next step for me to meet with the director but completely dropped the ball not only once but twice, not doing anything she said she was going to do, ignoring my reaches out for status updates and failing to communicate properly or professionally. I finally got a "form" letter saying the hiring manager went in another direction. My advice to you is stay in your lane and don't make statements or plans you cannot back up, and learn more about professional communication.
