    Amazing team of really smart, driven and passionate individuals.
    High energy culture that invites people to speak up and take initiative on what ever they are working on.
    Amazing office set up with a lot of extra perks.
    Very trasparent about company mission and goals across the organization.


    Is still a "startup" in the sense that it requires a certain level of scrappiness from employees. If you like working in a company where you don't need your hand helf every step of the way then this will work for you. If you prefer strict processes and procedures in place for everything then this may not be the place for you.

    Advice to Management

    Being part of the recruitment team, it is amaizng to work in an environment where management is on board with strategic growth and hiring the right people to keep the culture alive.

    I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Updater (New York, NY (US)) in September-2017.


    The interview process consisted of 3 steps-initial phone screen, in person interview with multiple people and a full day interview. The full day is a mixture of casual interviews/meetings, practical exercises, lunch (they provided it), a presentation, and retro at the end of the day.

    The full day seemed extremely intimidating at first because its a big time commitment but it ended up being a really amazing experience. I've never had the opportunity to have a job interview where you get to interact this much with the team and actually do the job!

    Everyone on the team was extremely friendly, accomodating, and the questions I was asked were challenging but not crazy. I could tell that everyone on the team genuinely cares about making sure you have an excellent interview experience and evaluating if you are the best person for the job.

    Interview Questions

    • They asked a lot of situational questions. Things like - tell me about a time when, or providing a scenario and walking them through how you would handle that and your thought process.   Answer Question
