I have been working at University of Calgary part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very straightforward, and helpful. Concise in what they want for you and the amount of work is extremely doable if you're a full time student.

    Cons

It's first come, first serve so be ready to have your schedule at hand to make sure the hours fit your schedule.

All done by email. I wrote asking for opportunity, we then exchange couple of emails and the Principal Investigator accepted me in his lab. The University asked for all documentations required to prove my PhD.
