I have been working at United Debt Counselors full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I've been here a while and worked in every department. I can honestly say I have seen the company evolve to an excellent working environment. You will be acknowledged for hard work and boosted up if you are having trouble. We have monthly awards that acknowledge people team members who produce, as well as those who exemplify the companies core values. We also have quarterly parties with games, catered lunch, and awards.
The company produces a valuable product and helps consumers who are in need of a way out of debt.
There are reviews here who complain about UDC, those people never either put in the effort to become successful or over dramatized the "who moved my cheese" phenomenon. No company is going to abide by lazy, disrespectful, or insubordinate employees who want to argue with functioning, established processes which have produced results for YEARS.

    Cons

If you are looking for sales, it's over the phone taking in bound calls from mailers and working from past accounts. If your lazy or looking to "get a lucky call" you won't be successful. It takes hard work but the earning potential is high.
For CSR Reps, expect to take a lot of calls and make out bound calls to existing clients.
The health benefits are good for a small company, and they have a 401k but are not matching at this time.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at United Debt Counselors (Plano, TX (US)).

    Interview

They are very unprofessional. When you arrive there is no one to greet you or check you in so I had to ask several employees walking by to help me out. I was there a full hour before the interview began. People walking in literally in their pjs to work! Then the interview seemed to be more for their entertainment than an actual process of employment. Regardless I sent a thank you email with no response and then a phone call with no response. Finally after two and a half weeks I get a decline email which was hilarious considering I already took another offer! Don’t even bother with this company!
