Application
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Trov (Ottawa, ON) in September 2016.
Interview
As a referral, I had it a little bit easier than most, but after a chat with the Director to discuss the company and their processes, I wrote the take-home assignment in about 4 hours and received a job offer shortly afterwards. The assignment is well designed, not too hard but allows the candidate to show both their knowledge (your choice of technology) and how they write software, as well as some rudimentary opportunity to make design decisions.
