Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Pros

While many companies still seem to be struggling with the shift toward remote work, Tribe has nailed it perfectly. They offer subsidies for setting up a home office, flexible work hours, great

Cons

Honestly, I have no complaints. The only reason I left was because I got an offer for a more senior position and even then, it wasn't an easy decision.

Advice to Management

Keep up the great work!

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tribe (Canada) (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2022

    Interview

The whole process felt right from the beginning. It was down-to-earth, transparent and with excellent communication from the hiring manager.

All my concerns and interests were addressed promptly and they stuck to every deadline they set for every step of the process.

The job description document was by far the best put together I've seen and it answered most of my questions before I even met with the management.
    Interview

The interview questions were standard but targeted my role and got to know me from a culture fit perspective. They also offered me the opportunity to interview the founders, or even a former employer to get their input on the company, which is as honest as it can get IMO.
