    Pros

You will immediately work on big brands and gain some good portfolio pieces. Lower level management (in my experience) is good about pushing entry level employees to grow and challenge themselves, and if you speak up about more responsibility, there's a good chance you will be heard (Just don't expect quick raises or promotions).

There are some seriously great people working at TL, and plenty of opportunities to hang out. Office environment is kept pretty relaxed.

Occasional opportunities to design cool stuff for teams outside of your own, just speak up about being interested in helping/designing beyond your immediate responsibilities.

    Cons

No 401k. Unexpected lay-offs in big batches. Very slow to promote.

Leadership definitely has some strange priorities. As other reviews have mentioned, they care desperately about external perception and it doesn't reflect reality. Nothing is more frustrating than seeing your coworkers laid-off in waves, while the company just keeps shouting about acceptance of LGBTQ+.

They throw a lot of "fluff" at you, and everyone can see right through it. People are concerned about things like keeping their benefits and having a work/life balance. Free bagel Wednesdays really lose their magic when you suddenly take away the 401k match.

For an entry-level position, the pros outweigh the cons. Bottom line is you will build a portfolio and grow as a designer and professional, and meet some great people along the way.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at TracyLocke.

    Interview

The process was very long. I drove to Connecticut for an in-person interview where I met with three different teams. A month later they called me back to meet with two additional teams. A whole lot of run around and they eventually told me that they were in a hiring hold. Everyone I met with were good people and seemed like a cool place to work but the process took way too long.
