Thomson Reuters offices across the United States are closed today as we observe Juneteenth, a federal holiday in the U.S. commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Read how companies in the DFW area, including Thomson Reuters, are honoring Juneteenth:

"Until I started #WorkingAtTR I didn’t feel confident freely expressing who I am at work. In the past, I always played with words to hide my boyfriend's gender. I felt as though I couldn't wear a pink t-shirt without people then knowing I was gay or feeling judged. And through the Pride at Work network, I was able to connect with an amazing community of people willing to learn, support and contribute with small or big actions to ensure Thomson Reuters is a safe, diverse and inclusive space for all, including our LGBTQIA+ colleagues. It's terrible that we are judged in the streets and in our own family or our circle of "friends" - and it would be fatal if we were also judged at work where we spend most of our time. When you have the opportunity to express yourself freely and have everyone accept you as you, you feel motivated and happy to do great work in your job.
