    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Thinkingbox (Salt Lake City, UT) in Dec 2020

    Interview

This was a Senior Level Job. 10+ years of management required + lot's of industry experience. I was contacted by talent coordinator (Shae) after my resume passed all the experience and skillset needs. My experience matched up extremely well with the listed job description 1st interview with MD named Kari went quite well and we seemed to hit it off well. She then told me I would make it to the next stage and need to interview with the 3 other MD's before a decision could be made. Next interview was with Sarah and Christine (both MD's of offices in other locations) Interview felt different than the first. There were no prepared questions and the process seemed "off" to me. They seemed disinterested from the very start and the scope of the job and requirements seemed to have changed from the written description. It didn't feel good from the get go, and that's okay and that's why we have an interview process to try each other out and get a feel for the person. For me, the interviews were so different, and the goal posts were moved so far, that I got the distinct feeling and vibe that this company does not communicate well. Well, I was correct about that, as after my interview I was told by Sarah I will be contacted by the company for the next step. Well, 4 days passed and I did not hear a thing. Then 7 days, then 10 days, then 14 days passed. I had heard through the production grapevine that Thinkingbox may have hired someone else for the job. Hearing that news that they may have hired someone else coupled with the fact I never heard a word back after I had three senior level interviews was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I did finally reach out to upper management and they did apologize for the miscommunications. My beef with this company is not about the job, I get the process and not everyone is right for each other. Totally fine with that. However, my word of warning about this company is that they felt quite disorganized between offices and seemingly do not communicate well.
    Interview

1st interview was buttoned up and pleasantly casual. Mostly experienced based questions and a few technical questions. 2nd interview the questions felt off the cuff and did not seem to lead anywhere. There was very little similarity between the interviews and the types of questions.
