Mission: To Protect Children, Promote Healthy Families and Encourage Personal Responsibility
I worked at State of Kansas full-time (More than 10 years)
It is so hard to find good people due to low wages, it would be hard to get fired. There are still some good law enforcement people around.
Government mentality. High burnout and a lot of turnover. The low wages made it hard to attract and retain quality employees including judges. Little respect within the system that is supposed to fair and just.
Advice to Management
Be kind and listen to the employees. Appreciate and reward loyalty. They are underpaid and overworked. Learn their names. Lead by example.
I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at State of Kansas in September-2017.
Took a total of 3 months. Fill out the app, had the interview, checked my references did the security clearance check and the was offered the position 2 weeks after the finger print check. Results got back faster than expected which worked out great for me as far as a start date.
