I have been working at Sovrn full-time

In the spirit of being candid, you should know I am part of the leadership team. I thought it was important that I put that on the table so you can decide on your own what you want to do with the experience I share.

I love the people I work with and the opportunity to be part of something meaningful. I love that I can be myself at work. I've worked at too many places that are driven by politics and succumb to the formalities of a traditional workplace. Walter (our CEO) is the most honest, authentic, and direct leader I have ever worked with. He is who he is, no sugar coating. For me, this is refreshing. There are so many people nowadays that tell you what you want to hear. His direct feedback can be hard to hear sometimes, but it comes from a place of deep care for our people and for our company.

The challenges we face are unique, and the industry is constantly changing. I really like the change, it keeps me on my toes. I've learned more during my time at Sovrn than I've learned in most of my career. It's the type of place that pushes you to push yourself, and you get rewarded with more opportunity.

It's definitely a higher pace and more intense environment than most companies in Boulder, which means it's not for everyone. I personally believe that's why we've had some emotionally charged reviews. Without being direct enough about our culture and pace, we made some incorrect hiring decisions. This wasn't fair to anyone involved. As we've gained more clarity on the unique characteristics of our culture, we've improved with more candid interviews and ultimately better hiring decisions.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sovrn.

Hiring department was very responsive and made the interview process easy and painless. Initial phone screen interviews followed by onsite interview. Onsite interview was much more of a conversation of technical skill set with some white boarding questions.
