I worked at SkyHive (Canada) as an intern (Less than a year)

    - hard work is rewarded/praised (my pay was raised halfway through my co-op!)

    - no micro-managing. Help is there if you need though, but you have to take initiative

    - I was given appropriately challenging work, and learned a lot.

    - Some flexibility in what you do/want to do: I was offered options for which projects to take up, and where I wanted to go in the future (ex. back end vs front end work)

    - your voice matters: suggestions/advice to management on product/process was seriously considered & often implemented

    - nice people/culture

    - hours can be long, particularly if its crunchtime on a project or there's some problem for clients that must be fixed

    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SkyHive (Canada) (Vancouver, BC) in April 2020.

The interview process was very efficient and seamless. HR was quick to return my emails, answer questions and schedule the interviews. The process seemed very thorough with lots of variation in interview questions (critical thinking, behavioral, experience and situational questions asked), a robust assignment, and meeting multiple members of the team.

After applying online, the process began with an HR screening call and was asked for content samples/portfolio.
The next step was a content and graphic design assignment, which was to be completed over 2 hours.
After reviewing my assignment, I was brought into a panel interview with two of the Directors I would be working with along with HR. This interview was mostly about my experience and more technical questions.
The final round was a 1:1 with the CEO, which was a very unique interview and provides a deeper understanding into the company, values, and mission.
