Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Quadient (Canada)
InterviewGhosted after a month of in-office interviews and Zoom interviews. After four rounds of interviews and an online personality test, it's reasonable to expect a response about the outcome. Instead, I was told after my last interview that an internal applicant was holding up the process, and then silence after I followed up later. I saw the job reposted shortly afterwards. Clearly they didn't find what they were looking for in the round of interviewing I was in, but the last thing I expected was to beleft dangling on the line that late in the game. I've hired for many team members throughout my career and candidates at that stage receive a direct answer from me as part of respecting their time. Despite all that, the interviews themselves were a pleasure and I sincerely enjoyed speaking with team members there. Everyone sounded passionate and dedicated, and they seem to have a good, positive dynamic with each other.
