I worked at Plowman Craven full-time
They are/were a market leader in their field
The company has problems with systemic bullying which comes from a top down position.
I would challenge all of the directors to actually justify their position save as to say when the rescue package was put together they were the best of a bad bunch who were greedy enough to use there own capital to bail the company.
Cronyism is rife, meritocracy is rarely realised and due to bad management training and a company ethos which actually merits exploitation of staff moral is generally low.
There also seems to be a hedonistic side to the company as well insofar as legacy or even current relationships leading to promotions.
This is why I was so shocked to see how many good reviews there were as in my experience I was opine nearly 60% of the staff were unhappy, sackings happen on an almost weekly basis and the HR department were in the main there to maintain the regime of tyranny from the board.
Advice to Management
I can give you no advice save as to quit, you know you are guests in that role and the business will suffer exponential loses under you ward which will inevitably lead to job loses
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Plowman Craven (Harpenden, England (UK)).
Good atmosphere. Didn't feel like interrogation. As I had some interest in process and projects they are doing, I asked about it, and I was happy with answers. Had asked about my experience, as I had 3 years school revit practice and around 1 year real life, didn't feel like that school experience really mattered. But anyhow I got the job, cause I was convincing and I could show examples of my previous projects on google.drive.
They just asked me how much sallary I want, so I asked 25000 first, but as I understand it was two low I asked for raise in next 2 months
