Indigenous Peoples Scholarship Opportunity

The Pelmorex Corp. educational incentive award is to create interest among Indigenous peoples in the Canadian Broadcasting, Journalism and Digital Media industry. One scholarship of $1000 is awarded each year.  The award is paid directly to the recipient’s educational institution on their behalf.

We welcome applications from status or non-status Indigenous peoples.  Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a Broadcasting, Journalism, or a Media Communications Program at a Canadian College or University and have received passing marks in their previous year of study.  They must also be returning to complete their studies in the same calendar year.

Applicants are committed students who want to contribute and have enthusiasm for their chosen career path.  If no students apply from these programs then the award may go to a student in another school program specifically, Business Administration, Meteorology, Computer Science, Graphic Design or Engineering Technology.

The deadline for applications is May 31st of each year.  To qualify, students must provide their: full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, email, name of the educational institution and their program of study, expected graduation date, a school transcript from the most recent year of study, and a recent letter of reference and resume.

    Work from Home opportunities. Medical & Dental Benefits, Educational Allowance, Mentoring, Social Committees, Hack-A-Thons, the list goes on and I am inspired by the culture and community of this place. Everyone is patient, supportive and friendly. Very much a family vibe.


    I can't really think of any to be honest. The role itself may have some late hours occasionally, but you will see that in Ops on both advertising agency and publisher side of the business.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on doing what you do best! You're doing an amazing job keeping us all safe, up to date and in line with the current Covid situation. We appreciate your candidness and transparency.
