As part of our 24 Hours of Thanks, our Kamloops Branch went around to thank our hardworking teams - and provide them with goodie bags! - for continuously embodying the Paladin Difference. We are so grateful for our amazing Paladin Family!
Paladin Security is proud to support Make-A-Wish as one of our Four Seasons of Giving charity initiatives! A big thank you to everyone who helped us raise $100,000 for this worthy cause at the annual Ivanhoe Cambridge Golf Tournament last week.
Paladin Security is committed to offering the best employment and career development opportunities in the security industry because we want the very best and brightest people our industry has to offer. We go to extremes that are unheard of within other companies to ensure that our people feel rewarded and satisfied with their role in Paladin. The following are just some of the reasons why we have been selected as the ‘Employer of Choice’ in the security industry.
Paladin Security is one of the highest paying companies in the security industry and we believe our people are worth it.
Among other things, we offer a comprehensive benefit plan to our staff that includes dental insurance, extended healthcare coverage, and life insurance.
As a company that is committed to delivering the highest level of training and education in the industry, Paladin provides over 50 safety and security related courses to our staff in order to encourage their development and advancement within our company.
Our belief in promoting from within, coupled with our strong record of growth, has provided countless opportunities for our members to grow within our company. With our extensive training programs and impressive growth, members of Paladin can easily develop a successful career path within our company.
As one of the largest full service security companies in Canada, we have an extensive variety of challenging assignments and positions within our company. We work with our people to accommodate their interests so that they enjoy their assignment and feel challenged by their work.
A career at Paladin does not have to mean sacrificing all of your spare time and compromising your life’s schedule. Whether you are looking for full-time or part-time work, we will work with you to find a shift schedule and a location that works for you.
Most security companies charge their employees for the training that they provide them with, and make them pay for their own security licenses. Additionally, they also make them pay for uniform deposits. Paladin Security is different. We pay all the up-front and ongoing costs for your security license, your uniform, and your training.
Many companies in our industry talk about their commitment to their people, but few demonstrate their commitment through their actions. To ensure that our staff members are supported and valued, we have created a senior position in each branch called the Employee Care Coordinator.
The Employee Care Coordinator is responsible for putting together programs and systems that increase the overall satisfaction of our large and varied workforce. Among other things, the ECC is also responsible for developing and administering reward and incentive programs, organizing company parties, and resolving general employee problems if and when they occur.
Paladin Security leads the security industry in reward, recognition, and incentive programs for our people. Each branch has Performer of the Month Awards, daily Field Manager's Choice Awards, and weekly Client Service Manager Choice Awards to recognize and thank our people for doing such wonderful work. These are monetary rewards and all winners and runners-up are also mentioned in our monthly newsletter, The Paladin Pipeline.
Paladin listens closely to our people. Not only do we hold regularly scheduled site meetings, site supervisor meetings and management meetings, but we also conduct extensive employee surveys at least once a year. The ‘Paladin Report Card’ solicits advice and suggestions from our staff on how we can improve the delivery of our services – both internal services, such as administering our benefits plan, and external services, such as providing security to a site.
We are a company that believes in constant and never ending improvement and the motivation for change comes from both our clients and our people. This is the foundation upon which Paladin was built and one of the reasons why our company has grown so fast.
Are you looking to start your career in security but not sure if it's right for you? Are you looking to enhance your personal and professional development in a positive environment, where your employer recognizes your talent and supports your growth?
In 2010, the security industry grew to over 200 billion dollars per year, up from the 100 billion dollars it did in 2005. The truth is, we are in one of the fastest growing and most exciting industries in the world!
Paladin Security is a leader in the security industry. Our company is growing more than three times as fast as the security industry and we always try to promote from within. We take pride in developing our own people into successful supervisors, managers and executives. Invest in yourself and take advantage of what Paladin can do for you and your career.
Policing is a challenging career and one that has a long and difficult application process to get through. Many don’t make it and many more get deferred to gain some necessary “life experience.” A job in security working at an active location can provide you with just the type of experience the police recruiting officer is looking for.
Being a student is tough and it is expensive. Tuition, books, housing, food, and transportation are expensive realities of everyday life for most students. A part-time job in security might be the perfect solution. Many positions at quiet sites require a security officer to remain alert and monitor alarms or control access. These positions quite often allow a student some time to read and study.
After a productive working life, many people find that retirement does not provide them with the sense of fulfillment that they were looking for. The security industry can be the perfect place to look for that part-time job that has the hours and flexibility that will suit you and your life situation.
Paladin Security is a leader in the security industry. Our company is growing more than three times as fast as the security industry and we always try to promote from within. We take pride in developing our own people to be supervisors, managers, and more. Invest in yourself and take advantage of what Paladin can do for you and your career. Learn more about our Culture!
Paladin Security Company Overview
Welcome to Paladin's Blog. Here you will find the latest security news and views from Canada and around the world, in addition to Paladin press releases, tips and insight from the country's top industry experts.
Paladin Security was established in 1976 as a provider of basic security guard services. From modest beginnings with four employees and one contract, Paladin has grown into one of the largest security companies in Canada with offices across the country. Some of the highlights of our history include:
Paladin provides a high quality alternative for organizations that require the very best for their security programs. By integrating professionally trained Security Officers with state-of-the-art technology and then customizing our programs around the unique needs of a select few vertical markets, we have created industry leading security programs that meet all of our client's unique and exacting needs.
The Paladin Difference is in the details. It's in the way that we take a holistic approach to our client's security and don't offer cookie-cutter solutions or off-the-shelf answers. It is in the way that we take the time to understand the security challenges that our clients are facing, then assist them in developing a security program that works for their unique needs and within their unique budget.
At Paladin, we are focused on innovation. We are always open to fresh ideas and are constantly looking at ways to improve our operations, which improves our service and your security.
The Paladin difference lies in our depth of knowledge. It can also be found in our exemplary customer service and follow-up. It's evident in our stringent personnel selection process and how we invest heavily into the training, support, supervision and development of our staff.
It is in our attitude. It is in our corporate culture. It is in each and every one of us.
In every interaction with you, our single purpose is to forge a relationship exceeding your expectations, and that comes through in the attitude, character and efforts of our entire team.
I have been working at Paladin Security Group full-time (More than 3 years)
It's a positive and encouraging environment where I feel confident to ask questions and to collaborate. My managers help me stay focused on essential tasks; they coach, motivate and help me to reveal areas I can improve. Uncovering my true potential is a great feeling!
Next come the decent pay, benefits package, and extensive training program that make working for paladin a great experience.
The company listens to its employees' concerns; they constantly improve policies and optimize processes of having people's best interests in mind. So I can't think of any negative aspect that is not being worked on or hasn't been improved since I joined the company.
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Paladin Security Group (Edmonton, AB) in September 2018.
I briefly met HR representative (anonymous) at Job Fair at their office. With my brief background, she recommended I apply for this job and another. The next day after submitting my resume, assessment and other questions on the application, I got a phone interview the next morning. I was impressed. She was bright, sharp and pointed in her questions to get a good impression of who I was and what I had to contribute and what I wanted in 5-7 minutes.
