An event we do each month is Employee of the Month. Employees can be nominated by their peers or their Supervisor/Manager. We then host a free lunch buffet at all our casino locations (Employee of the Month is held at each Casino). In attendance is all executive management, including the CEO/President and the VP/Regional General Managers. It is a delicious lunch!
Each nominee receives:
- Certificate, $25 Gift Card and $40 Meal Credit for the restaurants at any of our casino locations
The winner receives:
- $100 prize, day of with pay, a plaque on our wall of fame, a trophy with your name engraved on it , prime parking spot for the month (great in the winter!), Employee of the Year invite and a $75 meal credit for any restaurant at our Casino locations.

A fantastic event! In 2017, the 2016 EOY was held at Pampa Brazilian Steak House. It was a free meal, drinks and a taxi voucher for all our nominees and management. What a delicious meal! The meal alone was valued at $50-$60 per person. They could also bring their spouse/partner.
Each nominee received: $50.00 spa gift card and a $15 - $20 gift at dinner.
The Winner took home: a week off with pay!!! (Wahoo), 3 days and 2 nights in Las Vegas (for 2)! Ground trasportation costs, $500.00 spending money and a trophy!

The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at PURE Canadian Gaming (Edmonton, AB) in February-2017.
Interview process was a couple of weeks, first interview was with the 2 main people I would be working with. Following this initial interview I was asked to complete an online Optimism test. Following that I was asked to create a mock Project Plan in preparation for my second interview which was with a panel. I was made to feel welcome and as comfortable as possible (as you possibly can be with a panel interview : ) Following the panel interview I met the CEO who was very pleasant and welcoming. I was then asked to complete an online Management Assessment test. Following that I received a letter of offer.
