No helping you on the phone

I am sure RCMP are the best police force in the world. They are helpful attentive and responsive. No matter where you are calling from, their first line of help is to listen to you and try to help. But not the NYPD. You have to physically make it there. Even if someone is holding you hostage. Bad policing policy.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at New York Police Department (Upper West Side)

Extremely lengthy process. Expect to spend the entire day at 1PP. The interview is conducted individually but, all the candidates are gathered as a group. Be prepared with all the forms filled out to save time for you and all the candidates as you may be called in alphabetical order . There was a multi step process that included hand printing.
