    Difficult Interview

    Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Modo Modo Agency (Atlanta, GA (US)) in March 2019.

    Interview

I interviewed earlier this year with CEO and two other individuals who I would potentially be working with. Phone interview went quite well, seemed more like a conversation between two people and flowed naturally. In person interview was very different. This felt like an awful interrogation, especially coming from the other two people, and it seemed like I was being heavily judged. This made me incredibly nervous. I was actually asked what my parents do for a living, which I have never been asked in an interview before (and I had been interviewing all over), and felt judged off of my answer. I was noticeably uncomfortable but continued to be bulldozed with questions even after it seemed clear that this was not a fit for me. From my experience now professionally and what I have read, I am not sure a 3 - 1 interview is the best tactic. I remember wondering how the in person interview could have been so different from the phone interview? I did not find the interviewers to be kind or welcoming. I was disappointed because I had originally liked the CEO so much but wish her and her company the best.
