I worked at LoyaltyOne full-time (More than a year)
- Almost everyone is friendly, smart, and helpful
- The benefits and company events were really fun
- I worked on interesting projects
- Getting stuff to production is difficult
- Executives only pay lip service to agile practices
- Roadblocks with legacy systems is constant and frustrating
Advice to Management
Doing the agile ceremonies does not make you agile. Strive for removing the systemic roadblocks and let developers make software rather than bang their heads against impediments.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at LoyaltyOne.
I first had a phone interview which went splendidly, then was asked to do a in person interview next week. Which all went great the manager I talked to was polite and liked me alot pushing me to second round.Everyone was professional and answer my emails and concerns accordingly.
Except the second interview. This guy the hiring manager was rude and impolite. He had his phone right on the table and flipped it every two seconds to check the time. Even if I was a bad candidate show respect to your candidates who came all the way down for the interview. He seemed unprepared for the interview asking me questions that DO NOT have anything to do with the role or the company at all. Constantly looking on to my resume and looking up in the air to make up a question to ask me. He was basically counting down the time to end it. I made my time to commute to the office way East in downtown... at least show respect like your other manager who did on my first round.
