I worked at Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder / County Clerk (More than a year)
Pretty much everyone I worked with there was personable, appreciative, helpful and knew their jobs well. I was not there full-time, and I'm sure there would be more to mention here if I were. It was my first experience working for government, and I didn't expect much, so I was pleasantly surprised. I think of my coworkers there often.
No coffee or other in-house niceties.
I applied online. I interviewed at Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder / County Clerk (Los Angeles, CA (US)) in October 2016.
Phone interview then in person training followed by online training which reinforces everything you learn in the in person class training plus the training for all the clerks and even training for your supervisor which makes no sense whatsoever but the training is the only way you can get a portion of your pay.
