    Personal Shopper Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Loblaw Companies (Toronto, ON) in August 2020.

    Interview

The interview was standard on the phone with questions regarding to the job. A second phone call was the job offer and further instruction for payroll enrolment.
It took a week to get my payroll enrolled as the system was down. After that, I've been told to complete an online training module on my position, which I did, and forwarded the results back to the store on the same day. Another week passed, I received no updates from anyone, so I called the store to follow up, and then I was told that personal shopper overnight position, which I was originally hired for, has been filled, and I'd be transferred to Perpetual Inventory. They told me to wait a call from the PI department.
One month since my official hire passed, no call or anything, so I reached out again and looked for PI manager. She told me she hasn't been informed of me and no one has forwarded her any paperwork about a transfer. Now, from this point, my desire and expectation for the job has lowered, and I just want to find out what's happening with this specific location as I've never encountered such disorganized HR. The PI manager said on the phone that she would not be able to do anything until she got the availability updates from her current two employees, and she told me to call again on the same week on Thursday, where the schedule comes out weekly.
Today is Thursday, I called the PI manager to follow up. I was told that the two of her employees want to do overnight positions as well, so there is no room for me. She said she has to find a new position for me, and once she finds one, the responsible manager will contact me.
I would say I'm still in the process of hiring as I haven't started working nor have a position confirmed, nonetheless scheduling.
