Jelly Marketing – Why Work For Us?

Who We Are

The Jelly team consists of master organizers and communicators purposed in achieving the best results for your business while creatively pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. We take pride in being agile and responsive: something you may not find anywhere else. We’re also keen on building authentic relationships both online and offline. At Jelly, absolute transparency is a key to building those relationships, which translates to successful campaigns through congruency.

And we don’t want to keep our secrets to ourselves either! If you want to learn to tackle the world of digital marketing and PR, we’ll teach you how. We’ve helped numerous clients build their own successful strategies including social media, digital ads, and PR.

Jelly is in the digital marketing business. This is how we define “what” we do. However, we believe that “how” we go about that business is equally important to define. We have chosen to do that by articulating our corporate values as they provide us with marker posts against which we can monitor and develop the means we use to accomplish our company’s aspirations. In short, they define who we want to become as a team.

We have five core values:

Do the Just Thing

Thought Before Action

Do Your Duty, Serve Others

The Right Amount, the Right Distance

Confront Fear with Right Action

These five separate values are to be considered together as they reinforce, complement and depend on each other. They are intended to be practiced as an integrated whole. By way of example, Courage is a foundational value in that the confrontation of our own fears is essential if any of the other Core Values are to be exercised. That is, it will often require courage to act with Temperance, Fairness, Prudence, and Humility. It may take even more courage to remain steadfast in those behaviours when they are not reciprocated.

We are a high-energy team of go-getters, storytellers, and experts in all things digital who work tirelessly to get your business, product, and message seen and heard by the right people. While social media, PR, and digital advertising are the pillars of our business, it is our unique ability to combine the trio that enables us to provide comprehensive amplification for your brand.

Great environment! Everyone really works as a team. There's room to get creative and come up with innovative solutions which is exciting.

If you are an introvert it might be draining to work in this environment because of the high level of collaboration.

Sometimes clients don't understand the work very well either, but there will be difficult clients in any service industry job.

    Difficult Interview

I applied online. I interviewed at Jelly Marketing (Langley, BC) in April 2018.

I had a one-on-one "chat" with Darian after completing the extensive application and handing in about 10 pages of work samples. I was prepared with some questions to ask about Jelly and about the role (as normal) but I was unprepared that Darian wouldn't ask me any questions aside from ones about the other firms I had applied to. It's standard, in this industry, for interviews to be a little less structured and more like a conversation--however, this one in particular was one-sided and I left feeling very small. Darian's attitude was patronizing and condescending.
