Interview
Had a brief phone interview with the sales director. Very informal, he did not seem as though he was fit for conducting interviews and asked questions that simply would not offer insight into my sales ability or personality.
Following our conversation I was told I would hear back about next steps in the interview process. About a week later I received an email from an HR rep with a request to complete two assessments. Completed them each within an hour.
About two weeks after completing the assessments I had not received any update so i reached out to the HR rep. He was quite rude when I inquired whether he had received the results and how we can further proceed. I was told, "We recently acquired another company and our priorities have shifted at the moment. I will reach out when time allows for continuing the interview process."
Another 2 weeks go by.. nothing. After noticing a job post for the same position I applied I decided to followup and am told " we have put this position on hold at the moment." A blatant lie.
From other reviews I have read and after speaking with a former employee I was told Gray Matter likes to play games and will often pretend like they are hiring just to create a valuable local presence for the company.
Simply, don't waste your time here.. they will waste yours for 6 weeks.InterviewWhen are you available?
