I worked at Golf Town part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great team, Managers are vocal and make themselves seen on the sales floor, great discounts and company relationships, educational training programs.

    Cons

Sometimes restocking shelves and putting on grips can be tedious. Required to work on major holidays (boxing day, new years). Some pressure to push fitting onto people. Pressure to convert sales.

    Advice to Management

Let each employee sell their own way. Only recommend fitting if its necessary. Give sales associates updates on all sales every day, keep up morning meetings, maybe even implement shift change metings to brief promos.

I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Golf Town (Ottawa, ON).

    Interview

Applied in store with resume. Was called a few days later for an interview. Interview was held in the office with two managers. Asked me about pervious work experience, sports/hobbies I was interested in. Asked If I was in school and what I was studying and if I had any golf related experience.
