I worked at Global Relay full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It’s a big company and I can only speak of my experience in the mobile team. I’ve read all the previous reviews before joining them, but surprisingly I was paid up to the market price and it was a great team to be in.

Every single team member is super friendly, supportive and fun to be with. You can ask anyone anything and they’ll take their time to help.
Also, each of them impressed me by their talent and knowledge.

The team leads deeply care about your goal and will gather all the resources needed for you to achieve your goal.
My goal was to learn, and through my time there, I’ve always been given challenging tasks and those tasks were handed to me in a well planned way so that I’ve never felt overwhelmed yet I grew a lot in a short amount of time.

I’ve seen many reviews saying their salary has increased by more than 40% for the next job and that’s exactly what happened to me. However, speaking for myself, it was what I’ve learnt there that made me a much more valuable employee.

The company is financially stable and so is the team. Many team members have worked there for over 10 years. It’s literally a family.

    Cons

I just wish they had the job opening that I wanted.
As many big companies, they are less flexible of job titles and promotions plans.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Global Relay (Toronto, ON) in January 2020.

    Interview

The process contains one phone call interview followed by a takeaway assignment, followed by a technical interview and a cultural fit interview. The interviewer seemed uninterested in the interview, didn't really have a good conversation. Decided not to move forward with the interview process anymore.
