I have been working at GTM Sportswear full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    *Genuinely great people!
*There are plenty of opportunities to be involved with special projects and multi-department committees.
*Senior management is approachable, interacts with everyone, and provides regular updates using a Q&A-type forum.
*Young, passionate workforce eager to make cool products.
*Be a Hanesbrand employee but live and work in Manhattan KS - a great city!
*Many of the managers and leadership roles are folks who started in more basic roles and have moved up, so they're committed to GTM and really understand the business.
    *HR is fantastic.
    *Everyone wants to be better.
    *Free clinic/urgent care.
*Dresscode is basically just have clothes on.
    *Decent health benefits and network.

    Cons

*Office space is pretty bland, not many windows.
    *Work-from-home/remote isn't broadly accepted.
*There's still some ping-pong feeling as GTM works to fully integrate itself with Hanes/Champion.
*Dental and vision benefits are a bit pricey.
*Plenty of work to be done but sometimes resources are sometimes constrained, leading to bottlenecks and prioritization that delays or stops valuable work.
*Not that many holidays off and vacation/personal time is a bit limited at first.

    Advice to Management

Develop a strong vision for GTM and over-communicate about it. Keep pushing hard and allowing folks to do what you hired them to do. Consider freshening up the workspace with more natural light and common areas, more greenspace outside.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GTM Sportswear (Manhattan, KS (US)) in June-2016.

    Interview

The interview was pleasant. The whole process felt relaxed and friendly. None of the questions were especially difficult or surprising. The entire thing felt like a casual conversation. I was in and out in under two hours. The "job fair" process is a bit annoying and I would have preferred a scheduled appointment instead of being asked to come in at any time.
