Our Health and Safety Program is managed under a continuous improvement approach, and FRPD continues to be awarded the Certificate of Recognition (COR) from the British Columbia Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA) and WorkSafeBC. To achieve our goals our program utilizes a number of means including safety training, observation programs and job hazard analyses to help employees prevent incidents from ever occurring.
FRPD Safe Work Essentials
At FRPD we are committed to complying with laws, standards and FRPD policies and procedures, to ask for help when we are unsure, to intervene in unsafe or non-compliant situations, and to respect our neighbors, fellow workers, and the environment.
FRPD’s Environmental Policy highlights our commitment to meet or exceed all legal requirements and voluntary commitments. This is in part accomplished by FRPD’s extensive experience in regards to identifying and mitigating potential adverse impacts to the environmental resources within the upland and aquatic environments and incorporates new technologies into daily operations. Our Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP) are rigorously audited to ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
FRPD assists clients with navigating the environmental review process and routinely procures the required approvals for maintenance works. FRPD works within the requirements of the Disposal at Sea program administered by Environment and Climate Change Canada and can fulfill all aspects from the collection of sediment samples, submittal of permit applications, conducting the dredging works and the final reporting for permit closure. FRPD has been a member of the Climate Smart Program since 2012 and continues to track emissions and develop reduction strategies.
FRPD has taken on a number of projects in our specialized areas of Marine & Infrastructure, Land Foundations and Dredging.
Some examples could include large multidisciplinary, multi-million dollar joint venture port expansions or container terminals. Others could be a environmental remediation project for a harbor.
FRPD does not shy away from challenges, but it also doesn't forget the commitments and values it operates under. Check out our portfolio of projects today to learn more about what an exciting company FRPD is!
