    Associate Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Mumbai (India)
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Fractal Analytics (Mumbai (India)) in October-2017.

    Interview

The Associate is the entry-level position Fractal. Thus, the testing methodology is more knowledge-based than experience based.
    There were Four rounds:
    1. Writen Aptitude Test
    2. Case Interview -1
    3. Case Interview-2
    4. HR Interview.
Each round is eliminating in nature, i.e. you have to clear one to reach next.

During the entire process, one of the HR executives will be your point person and you can ask him for assistance or clarify any doubts you have.

    Interview Questions

    • Aptitude test:
The test is designed by Mattel, thus it is above average in difficulty. You will get 75 min and around 60 questions to answer. All are multiple choice.
Prepare for basic apptitude - Quants, Verbal, LR and DI.
There is no negative marking, but make sure you practice some tests beforehand as time management will be the key.   1 Answer
    • Round 2:
After clearing the aptitude test, you will face a case interview. There is no difficulty gauge as the cases differ from interviewer to interviewer. To prepare, you can use "Case In Point" to go through some sample cases and understand the thought process behind solving them. BUT, since it is all about problem-solving, no one can teach you the same.   1 Answer
    • Round 3:
This is also a case interview, but with senior management and subject matter experts. The difficulty level is much more than last round, but since the management is very friendly, they give you ample amount of time to solve questions and assist you too. Agan, all questions are unique but read "Case In Point" to solve some sample cases.   1 Answer
    • Round 4:
HR round is a typical round. It will be short with some usual HR questions. Make sure you understand the role completely and know about the company.   1 Answer
