I have been working at Export Development Canada full-time (Less than a year)
Great team culture. Lot's of room for growth and change. Awesome variety of work. Smart people to learn from.
At times, things can be slow, but in comparison for working for the gov't - things move fairly quickly!
Advice to Management
Keep recruiting smart people & providing room for growth! Love it here.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Export Development Canada (Ottawa, ON).
Very structured process, took about a month since the invitation to interview to wrap up the whole process, including offer acceptance.
I got the email to interview 2 weeks after I applied, and was scheduled for an interview two weeks after. Two rounds of interview: on the 1st round, I met HR and hiring manager for 1.5 hours. I was emailed two days after for the 2nd round with VP the following week. Met with VP for about half an hour.
The following week I was asked to come for fingerprinting, the same day I received a conditional offer provided my background check, reference check, payroll info and security screening came through. Exactly two weeks after my security screening came through and the offer was final.
