Pros
ER is by far the most people-focused company I've had the pleasure of working for. I found that they take all their employees' skills into account and work with you to use your skills in a way that grows the company while also exploring areas you are interested. I started as a copywriter, but eventually was able use marketing and communications skills I learned in previous jobs and in university to grow into a Google Ads specialist. They want you to grow with the company, and they did very well at that. There are also some great hearts on the team who have gone out of their way to help others, personally and professionally. What I loved most is that it is a very team-oriented environment; I worked there for several years and always felt that everyone on the team was working together towards our goals, rather than against one another. In the times I saw conflict, I found they were constructive disagreements over ideas and not about personalities. In the context of client projects, those engagements led to better understanding of what solutions to a problem would work and which wouldn't, and allowed us to deliver quality deliverables to our clients.
Cons
ER is an agency environment that values innovation and new ideas. The push to implement and evaluate new ideas can make things a little chaotic at times. However, that's common with many organizations operating under an innovative mindset. If you are one to take initiative and are well-organized, you can turn that energy into great outcomes.
