I worked at Earls Kitchen + Bar part-time (More than a year)
Great work environment and you make friends for life. Fun job
Tip out is extremely low and training is minimal. Most management are incompetent which is why there is high turnover, you never know how long you will be favoured until they hire someone prettier and give them all your shifts.
Advice to Management
The people that are loyal to you care about the business. Pay them well and treat them well and it will pay off.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Earls Kitchen + Bar (Edmonton, AB) in July-2017.
I applied in person at a non-busy time, was interviewed and hired on the spot. They said they liked that I had over a year of serving experience, was very happy when I came in, and looked confident. Make sure to apply in person for any serving jobs!
Incase you missed it, Earls Kitchen + Bar opened in the Legacy West development in Plano, Texas yesterday. We are already loving the community so much and can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us.
"I've decided to personally announce how proud I am that Earls will be the first chain restaurant in North America to serve Certified Humane Beef in all of its restaurants." - Mo Jessa, President Earls Kitchen + Bar: http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vIxC5
