We were delighted to host our first of four Dream ULI Speaker Series last night, on the topic of Driverless Cities. We welcomed members of the Urban Land Institute Toronto Chapter to listen to the fascinating Dr. Josipa Petrunic, Executive Director and CEO of the Canadian Urban Transit Research & Innovation Consortium (CUTRIC).
Dr. Petrunic – thank you for enlightening us on the future and opportunities of driverless transit!

We believe in building better communities.
Dream TSX: DRM has grown a lot since we started in 1994, becoming one of Canada’s leading real estate companies with ~800 employees and approximately $14 billion of assets under management in North America and Europe. The scope of the business includes residential land development, housing and condominium development, asset management & management services for four TSX-listed funds, investments in and management of Canadian renewable energy infrastructure and commercial property ownership.
We provide asset management services for four TSX listed funds:
Dream Office REIT – Canadian office REIT;
Dream Global REIT – the first Canadian REIT to invest exclusively outside of Canada;
Dream Industrial REIT – Canada’s largest pure-play industrial REIT; and
Dream Alternatives Trust – providing investors the opportunity to access hard asset alternative investments.
Our operating businesses include:
Homes by Dream – an award-winning home and condominium developer;
Dream Development – Canada’s largest residential developer with ~10,000 acres of land;
Dream Centres – focused on developing retail shopping destinations in our residential communities; and
Renewable Power – we invest in renewable energy infrastructure.
Whatever we do, we work to create value and make everything we do better than it was before— for investors, for tenants and for the greater community — at every stage of the real estate life cycle.
We’re honest, accountable, transparent, and respectful in our dealings with others. We act in a way that helps to create goodwill for all our relationships, now and in the future.
We help each other achieve collective goals while reinforcing each other’s strengths and doing our best to help others in the areas they are weaker. Our successes are shared with all.
Dealing with Stakeholders
Our success relies on our ability to meet and exceed the expectations of our stakeholders. We believe prompt responses with thoughtfulness, compassion, innovation and creative solutions will lead to the best outcomes.
We believe in contributing in the communities where we live and where we work and value the commitment of others.
We provide a safe and respectful work environment that attracts, supports and develops high-performing and innovative team members and provides opportunities in as fair a manner as possible.
We believe that Dream’s success is enhanced when we encourage an environment where people enjoy working together, take interest in each other, create social events to develop our understanding of each other and encourage humour at work.
Our culture includes living all of these values. It is in the work we do, the way we communicate, the decisions we make, and the way we share our responsibilities, which makes Dream a great place to work.
I have been working at Dream Unlimited full-time (Less than a year)
Dynamic teams, great workspace and opportunities to make a difference. Lots of exciting developments on the go and great team dynamics.
It's a place to adapt and change based on demands of the market and the developments, so you will need to understand and embrace it, all constructive and positive.
I applied online. I interviewed at Dream Unlimited (Toronto, ON) in July-2017.
I applied online and the recruiter called me without making an appointment for a phone interview. We chatted about my experience and aspirations and the opportunity. The recruiter committed to getting back to me with a response within a few days. Despite repeated follow up emails she did not have the courtesy to send me a response or even an acknowledgement.
