    I worked at Dermalogica full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Amazing products and staff. Great company culture. Majority of my time there was working with woman who loved to help other women. Some amazing friendships and relationships were made and I still respect so many of the people I worked with. I still have many positive things to say about the brand and my time there.

    Cons

    Management seemed to take little notice to the reign of terror running a specific portion of the sales team into the ground. Verbally abusive to staff and completely inappropriate with clients. The little knowledge she had of business was over compensated by her non stop talking. Conversations of policy, procedure and general business practice were met with "shhh-ing, aggression, eye rolling and frustration. Completely incompetent and disorganized without a proper understanding of anything related to Dermalogica.

    Also, the business has changed and targets need to be more attainable. Staff will work harder knowing they can reach their numbers. When you know there is no chance, it becomes quite defeating and will ultimately affect your work.

    Advice to Management

    When an entire team in a specific region leave within in a 7 month span, you should really take notice to the person in charge of them. Numerous complaints were made by numerous people with zero recourse. This left employees feeling undervalued and replaceable. With no one else to turn to for support, finding opportunities elsewhere was the obvious next move.

    Two interviews with an external recruiter followed by two with internal hiring managers. Presentation required for final two interviews followed by skills and personality screening. Each interview was spaced out over a week.
